Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1 Cup Adzuki Beans Cooked in advance
2 Medium Beetroot
1 Large Carrots
1 Medium Onions
2 Handfuls Chard
¼ Cup Oats Pulse oat in the blender or food processor. Do not flour
3 Tbsp Ground Flaxseed
100 ml Water Add water gradually to bind the ingredients as required

Beetroot Burgers

    Beetroot are abundant in season. I was inspired to make these burgers when I had beets sitting at the bottom of my fridge tray for a while. One thing I know for sure is I love a good burger and veggo burgers are a bit tricky for me to heat the spot. But this one did big time.

    Cook the beans in advance or use tinned organic beans. You can use black bens as well. First step: sauté the chard with onions for 2 minutes. Grate the beetroot and the carrots and set aside.

    Mix all the ingredients together as shown it the video and use your hands to combine the ingredients together gradually add some water as you go. When are a bit wet and a bit sticky not too much begin to shape into burger shape in the palm of your hands. In a sauce pan drizzle about 4 tbps of olive oil and begin to fry the burgers on both sides until they start browning or becoming crispy. 3 to 4 minutes on each side on medium heat. Add some more oil as needed.

    Serve on a bun with your favourite burger sauce or separately with a salad.

    Wow! I’m happy to find your website.

    This is an amazing-looking burger, and I can’t wait to try this recipe.
    It’s great to know that there are many people out there who still care about the ingredients that they put into their bodies. And it’s such a shame that so many others don’t care about the quality of food they are consuming on a daily basis that actually destroys their health from within.
