Cabbage and Brown Rice Balls

Features:
    Cuisine:

These cabbage rolls were inspired by some leftover rice that was in my fridge and some stir fried cabbage and the result was quite good. They are so filling and satiating.

When the mixture is cool add an egg, mix through and begin to make balls to a desired size using the palm of your hands. Lay baking sheet on a oven tray deep or shallow. Assemble your balls on the tray without touching each other. Bake in the oven @180 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes or until they are golden brown.

      Notes

*You can also shallow fry the cabbage balls on the stove top in a sauce pan
      *I used brown basimati rice.
      * Do not use overcooked rice as it can become mushy, you want more cabbage than rice.
      * Only use sweet potato as a binding ingredient otherwise you do not need to use them.
*You can make a sauce and put these in a sauce like you would with dumplings.
