Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
350 g Firm Tofu
2 Tbsp Natural Yogurt Mix yogurt with to loosen it up a bit with ¼ cup water. Optional almond, Soy, Cashew milk
4 Tbsp Buckwheat Flour
1 Tbsp Paprika
½ Cup Panko Bread Crumbs Optional Gluten free sprouted bread crumbs
½ Tsp Ground Cumin Optional
Salt and Pepper

Crisp Baked Tofu Nuggets

    These Baked Tofu Nuggets are the Ultimate finger food for parties as a side dish and/or main dish. Cut the firm to into thick slices or any preferable size it really does not matter. Just make sure it is dry not soaked in its own juice. Use paper towel to pat dry. No need to press.  Coat the tofu with flour first then yogurt lastly the bread crumbs.I used Panko bread crumbs mixed with spices for the final dip and then onto the baking tray.

    Cut Tofu into 8 slices and pat dry using paper towel until dry. Combine Panko bread crumbs, paprika, cumin salt and paper together and set aside . Yogurt bowl and Flour bowl as well.

    Take the tofu and coat with flour and then into the yogurt/nut milk and then lastly roll into the bread crumb mix until it is all covered. You can double coat with flour and the yogurt for a more crispier texture.

    Repeat the process with all other tofu and placing them on a lightly greased baking paper in a baking tray. Bake for 20-25 minutes on 180ºC

      Notes: You can make the butter by mixing together the flour and the yogurt/milk
      You can make these ahead of time and freeze after cooking and then reheat when ready to eat
      Serve with stir fried greens
      Serve with mayo and chilli sauce dip. Made one with mayo and Tabasco
