Harness the Power of Personal Organisation to Reduce Stress.

Personal organisation

Personal organisation skills are underrated in reducing stress and overall well-being. There are so many ways to reduce stress but staying organised is by far the most effective.

Why is personal organisation so important to reduce stress?

What you may need to understand is that losing weight is not just about eating less and moving more.

It also incorporates staying organized—planning, setting priorities, and sticking to a routine.

Increased stress is one of the top reasons why people struggle to lose weight. One way to mitigate stress is to get organised.

7 factors why personal organisation should be your top priority to reduce stress:

  • Increases clarity – you need to have a clear plan or system for managing your time, tasks, and priorities.
  • Reduce overwhelm – break down large tasks into smaller, manageable steps so you don’t feel like there’s too much to do and not enough time.
  • Effective time management – prevents the last-minute rush and panic that comes from procrastination or overscheduling.
  • Prevent decision fatigue – when you get overwhelmed by choices it becomes stressful to make even small decisions.
  • Losing control – being organized gives you a sense of control over your environment and your time, which is empowering.
  • Reduce wasting time – helps you stay on top of things, reducing wasted time and allowing you to accomplish more without the stress of falling behind.
  • Enhance mental health – order provides emotional balance and helps reduce the stress and anxiety that come from feeling overwhelmed.ps reduce the stress and anxiety that come from feeling overwhelmed.

I have always been lucky with personal organisation. Nothing annoys me more than a messy environment.

But I have also learnt to know when to take a step back and let things be, you cannot control everything – such is life.

You can decide to focus on things outside your control and drive yourself crazy, or you can decide to focus on things within your control and let the rest fall into place.

I often get asked about my morning routine it changes from time to time but my focus never changes – prioritise regular exercise and a balanced, healthy diet. I drink a lot of water in the morning 1 litre or just under first thing in the morning. After that, I do my morning stretches. I have a simple workout routine that always includes weight-lifting for the upper and lower body. Squats and situps are my favourites. Maximum time 15 minutes 5 days a week. I make smoothies 90 per cent of the time and I do not eat at least after 4 hours of getting up if I am not fasting.

How I stay focused;

  • Identify the energy drainers —the people and activities that suck your energy and dampen your happiness.
  • Recognise the energy boosters—the uplifting experiences and tasks, making the most of my unique talents and strengths.
  • I cherish my free time, using it to explore unexpected, rewarding opportunities.
  • Appreciate the small beauties around me, finding moments of gratitude and joy in the everyday.

As you work on reducing stress, you will also notice that it is easier to prioritize self-care and the activities that bring you joy.

Life balance is not just about work and work; it’s about making time for yourself, your passions, and the people who lift you.
